Herndon High School is proud to present its spring musical, Footloose, a lively and spirited production filled with unforgettable music, dynamic choreography, and a heartwarming message about community and self-expression. Performances will take place May 2–4, 2025 in the Herndon High School Auditorium.

Based on the hit 1984 film, Footloose follows teenager Ren McCormack as he moves from Chicago to a small town where dancing has been banned. Determined to challenge the outdated rule and inspire change, Ren ignites a movement among his classmates—and shakes up the town in the process.

Directed by Scott D. Pafumi, the production features a talented collaboration of more than 80 student performers, production team members, musicians and crew who have worked tirelessly to bring this energetic and emotional story to life. The show includes classic hits like “Let’s Hear It for the Boy,” “Holding Out for a Hero,” and, of course, the iconic title song “Footloose.”
