Herndon Kohl’s Among 27 ‘Underperforming’ Stores Closing By April
Kohl's associates have already been notified of the closure and offered a severance package or a chance to apply to at another location.

HERNDON, VA — Kohl’s is closing 27 of its more than 1,150 stores nationwide, including the location at 2100 Centreville Road in Herndon.
"We always take these decisions very seriously," said Kohl’s CEO Tom Kingsbury, in a release. "As we continue to build on our long-term growth strategy, it is important that we also take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams."
The company decided that it would close its San Bernardino e-commerce fulfillment center in California when its lease runs out in May. It will also be closing 27 underperforming stores by April.
