Herndon Man Arrested For White Supremacist Posters: Report

VIENNA, VA -- A Herndon man was arrested after he was caught in the Town of Vienna putting up posters for a white supremacist organization, according to a report.

Vienna police say that a 21-year-old man from Longleaf Lane in Herndon was charged with destruction of property and released on his signature, according to the police report.

Police say the incident happened 180 Maple Avenue West on March 16 at 4:05 p.m.

"A citizen reported two men placing sticker posters to light posts in the shopping center," the report states. "An officer observed one of the men placing a poster on a Town of Vienna utility box in the area of Nutley Street and Maple Avenue. The posters appeared to be affiliated with a political activist organization."

Reston Now reported that the posters were in support of a white supremacist group.

Signs from the same group were posted in Arlington. Those signs read "Keep America American and "Report any and all illegal aliens, they are criminals," along with a phone numbers for the Department of Homeland Security and a link to the group's website.

The group is named Patriot Front. Hate group watchdog Southern Poverty Law Center notes that the group was founded in 2017 in Texas and is often engaged in distributing propaganda across the country.

The group's manifesto holds that only those of European descent are true Americans, and anyone else is not a true American even if they were born in this country.
