Herndon Officer Involved In Shooting: Police
A Herndon police officer was involved in a shooting following an armed robbery report, police say.

HERNDON, VA — Police are investigating after they say a Herndon officer was involved in a shooting after a reported armed robbery on Monday.
The shooting happened near the intersection of Locust and Spring streets "while [the officer was] responding to a report of an armed robbery nearby," the Herndon Police Department tweeted at 9:12 p.m.
"Both suspects are in custody and there is no active threat to the community," police added. "The investigations at the scenes will be going on through the night."

Police said on Facebook that there were no injuries.
