Herndon 'Pride' Marches In 2023 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade In Hawaii
For the second time in its history, the Herndon Marching Band performed as Virginia's representative in the annual remembrance ceremony.

HERNDON, VA — After 10 years, the Herndon High Schools marching band, known as "The Pride," returned to Hawaii last month to perform in the 2023 Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade.
Serving as Virginia's representative, the band had the opportunity opportunity to play at the USS Missouri and during the parade. The band had previously performed at the 2013 parade.
The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade takes place every year as a way to pay respects to the survivors, veterans, and active duty military on the anniversary of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack.

"We are honored to have been invited to represent Virginia at such an historical occasion," Band Director Kathleen Jacoby said, in a letter she wrote to parents in November.
