More than 300 children and their families took part in Saturday's annual Hoppy Egg Hunting event at Bready Park in Herndon.

HERNDON, VA — More than 300 children and their families descended on Bready Park on Saturday to take part in the annual Hoppy Egg Hunting event hosted by the Town of Herndon Parks & Recreation Department.

Children up to the age of 7 took part in three egg hunts. They also had the chance to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny and participate in a number of arts and crafts activities hosted by Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Childtime Learning Center and parks & recreation.

The Reston/Herndon Lions Club and Weird Brothers Coffee provided refreshments to slake the appetites of the hungry egg hunters and their families. Herndon Fortnightly presented story time and children could also enjoy a petting zoo.
