Kickstart Your Life With 3 Business Coaching Seminars And Coffee

Office Evolution, Eye of the Heart, and Weird Brothers Coffee team up to provide a social approach to the business coaching experience.

HERNDON, VA — One thing the COVID-19 pandemic did was that it gave people a lot of time to think about what was important in their lives and what they might want to do when things returned to "normal."

Were they really happy with their old jobs? Maybe they decided it was time to launch that business or start a new workout routine.

Weird Brothers Coffee, Eye of the Heart, and Office Evolution have teamed up to create a series of free seminars to help Herndon residents thinking about taking their lives or careers in different directions.

Business and sales coach Mike Williams will be presenting the first seminar on business coaching from 10-11:30 a.m., on Wednesday. All of the seminars will take place at Office Evolution, which is located at 205 Van Buren St. in Herndon.

Stephanie Wright is co-founder of Eye of the Heart, a Herndon-based LLC that helps connect community members with local business leaders and nonprofits. She said those attending Wednesday seminar presented by Williams won't be just getting the same old sales pitch.

"What Office Evolution has done is he's ask these coaches to bring real, workable materials and solutions to get people started, because he's noticed that people have been obviously in a funk since February 2020," she said. "People are now crawling out and he wants to give them a chance, in a very substantial way, to start that process. That's what this coaching series is."

Karen Shrum will present an executive coaching seminar from 8-10:30 a.m., on Aug. 11., and Jessica Winfield will offer an Aug. 18 seminar on health/fitness coaching.

"They're going to bring real solutions to you to kickstart what you want to do," Wright said. "Then, if you feel like if you want to keep working with a coach, they're there for that."

All three of the seminars are free and participants are asked to RSVP in order to receive access to seminar materials and a the Zoom link for those who wish to participate remotely.

Following Wednesday's seminar, Williams will head across the street to Weird Brothers (12825 Worldgate Drive) to take part in a Work from the Coffeehouse event.

"The coach is going over to the coffeehouse and be available all day to chat," Wright said. "All the like-minded people who were part of the seminar get to be in a breakaway group, so to speak, a non-structured one. It's kind of cool. If you're really jazzed, you're not just sent back to your own corner of the world. You have those people with you for the rest of the day."

Work from the Coffeehouse is open to the public as well. Anyone who wants to hang out and work remotely together is welcome.
