Mellow Mushroom To Donate Pizza Pies To Area Food Banks

For every pizza purchased Thursday at Mellow Mushroom's Herndon and Chantilly locations, they will donate a pizza to two local food banks.

HERNDON, VA — Two local pizza restaurants will be donating pizzas to community charities this Thursday as part of the Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers' A Pie for A Pie community giving program.

For every pizza purchased at Mellow Mushroom's Herndon or Chantilly locations, the restaurant chain will donate a pizza to Herndon Cares and Western Fairfax Ministries, respectively. Both charities operate food banks for people in need.

“At Mellow Mushroom, our local owner operators have built strong community connections, which has played a big role in the success of Mellow Mushroom over the years,” said Anne Mejia, vice president of brand development, in a release. “The strength of this new giving program lies in the ability for our owners to contribute where it matters most in their hometowns.”
