NatureFest Returns To Herndon's Runnymeade Park On Sunday
NatureFest is a free, family-friendly event, where participants learn all about the flora and fauna of Runnymeade Park in Herndon.
HERNDON, VA — Family-friendly Nature-Fest is returning to Herndon this Sunday, spotlighting the many animals, plants, and insects that live in Runnymeade Park.
Co-sponsored by the Town of Herndon Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of Runnymede Parks, Nature-Fest offers a hands-on experience for people of all ages.
Participants can visit 18 different nature stations, where they'll learn about butterflies, fish censusing, birds, and life in the meadow. They'll even find out about Nature Olympics.

NatureFest runs 1-5 p.m., on Sunday, and admission is free. Runnymeade Park is located at 195 Herndon Parkway between Elden and Queens Row streets. Free parking is available at Hunter’s Creek pool, which is located at 417 Queens Row St.
