Pearl Harbor Day Parade In Hawaii Invites Herndon HS Band To Perform
Herndon High School band is raising money to cover travel and shipping expenses in order to participate in the Dec. 7 parade in Hawaii.

HERNDON, VA —The Herndon High School Band, known as "The Pride," has been selected as Virginia's representative to the 2023 Pearl Harbor Memorial Day Parade in Hawaii. Students will have the opportunity to play at the USS Missouri and during the parade.
The Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade takes place every year as a way to pay respects to the survivors, veterans, and active duty military on the anniversary of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack. The band had

Unfortunately, the band has fallen $5,000 short of its fundraising goal. In order to pay for the shipping of equipment and traveling expenses, the band has issued a callout to the community for any organizations or businesses who can serve as a sponsor. Those interested may contact the band directly at fundraising@herndonband.org or online at www.herndonband.org.
The band is also soliciting donations from the public via PayPal. Checks may also be made out to: HHSBPA and mailed to P.O. Box 1293, Herndon, VA 20172-1293. In addition, band members will be out in force, collecting donations, the Friday after Thanksgiving at Reston Town Center.
