Attempted Burglary in Lake Ridge

On July 7, a homeowner in the 1700 block of Shady River Court in Woodbridge reported an attempted burglary, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

The homeowner told police that a tapping noise woke him from his sleep. When he investigated, he discovered a man on his balcony. When the man realized he'd been seen, he jumped off the balcony and ran away.

The homeowner said that the burglar had not gained entry to the home and that nothing was missing from his home.
