On Oct. 14, a homeowner in the 12900 block of Smoketown Road in Lake Ridge reported the theft of $3000 of jewelry. When police responded at 2 p.m., they found that the burglar most likely entered through a front window. Police found the window broken. The homeowner told police that the burglary happened sometime after 6:15 a.m. on Oct. 14.
