Father's Day: MJ's Ice Cream-N-More

Consider staying local this year, and shop for your Father's Day gift in Occoquan. Local ice cream shop MJ's Ice Cream-N-More has several options for the father in your life.

The shop sells a variety of ice cream and sorbet, and also offers food like hot dogs and pretzels. Owner Margie Blanton will have the shop open on Father's Day from noon to 8 p.m., for fathers who might like to spend the afternoon in Occoquan with their families. 

For gifts, Blanton sells special nutcrackers that twist instead of squeeze, making them easier to operate. She also sells a couple varieties of hooks for grilling meat, and she sells local chocolatier Potomac Chocolate's bars. Local fishermen may be interested in the bags of ice she keeps on hand.
