 A peek at the week ahead in Prince William County: 

Election day. Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to cast their ballot for the governor’s race, among others. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Check out a sample ballot

INOVA healthcare system is hosting a blood drive from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Chinn Park Regional Library on 13065 Chinn Park Drive in Woodbridge. Visit www.inova.org/donateblood to register. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and have a photo ID.

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors is hosting a town hall meeting to discuss the area’s needs for parks and recreation space. The meeting is taking place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Ferlazzo Auditorium in the Ferlazzo Building on 15941 Donald Curtis Drive in Woodbridge.  

Learn about reptiles and see them in person. Reptile World with Michael Shwedick takes place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Central Community Library on 8601 Mathis Ave. in Manassas.

The Lake Jackson/Mid-County Lions Club is offering free vision screening for elementary school-aged children and younger. The screening is at 11:30 a.m. at the Central Community Library on 8601 Mathis Ave. in Manassas. 

The Dale City Lions Club meets for a meal and an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Prince William Ice Center on 5180 Dale Blvd. in Dale City.

Find the five Golden Tickets in Manassas through Dec. 5. Starting Tuesday, Merry Old Town Chocolate Bars will go on sale at participating merchants in Old Town Manassas. Five of those bars will contain the golden ticket. The children who find the tickets will win the chance to be Santa’s guest on a float on the Greater Manassas Christmas Parade in December.
