Woodbridge Man Faces Hit And Run Charge: Fairfax City Police

A driver who authorities say was involved in a hit and run Saturday night in Fairfax City was arrested later by Fairfax County police.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 20-year-old Woodbridge man is facing a hit-and-run charge after his vehicle crashed into a fence in Fairfax City on Saturday night, according to authorities.

City of Fairfax police responded around 11 p.m. for the report of a hit and run in the 10600 block of Maple Street, according to the incident report. The person who filed the report said someone had crashed into their fence and then fled.

A short time later, Fairfax County police located the vehicle while conducting a traffic stop, the report said. The driver, identified as Kennedy Bautista-Gonzalez of Woodbridge, was arrested on unrelated charges and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was held without warrant.

Bautisa-Gonzalez was also served with a warrant for misdemeanor hit and run. No information was available about the charges from Fairfax County.
