Here are five activities to do with your child this week:

2. Join a at  at 7301 High Point Road in Lorton every Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. Use the available nets and buckets to catch minnows, crayfish and other life in the pond. No admission fee.

3. Make at  at 7301 High Point Road in Lorton every Saturday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Meet at the Visitor Center. No admission fee.

4. Learn about at  at 13065 Chinn Park Drive off Old Bridge Road and Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge on July 19 at 1 p.m. Children in grade 1 or older can come to the park for an interactive show about reptiles and their tails. Among the reptiles featured are a giant python, an alligator, a tortoise, and a monitor lizard. Free tokens available one half hour before program starts.

5. Take part in at  at 2201 Opitz Blvd in Woodbridge on July 20 at 10:30 a.m. Bring your preschooler for stories and songs about hot summer days. Pick up your free pass  for each child at 10 a.m. on July 20. There is a limit of 30 children for the program.
