Lake Ridge Area Man Possibly Beaten on His Own Doorstep

The caller, who also lived in the residence with the injured man, responded to the victim's loud knocking only to find the man unconscious.

A Lake Ridge area man was found on his own doorstep, unconscious and with severe injuries to the head, moments after he was loudly knocking on his own door, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

"It is unknown how the victim sustained his injuries," Perok said. "We're investigating it as an assault."

When the caller contacted police in the early morning hours of June 9, the caller said that the 29-year-old man had come back to his residence in the 12800 block of Tumbling Brook Ln. and was knocking loudly on his front door. But by the time the caller answered the door, the man was unconscious and severely injured.
