Police have arrested Demetrius Perkins of Lake Ridge and charged him with possession and intent to distribute narcotics.  On March 3, Street Crimes Unit detectives searched Perkins' home in the 2800 block of Cambridge Drive after obtaining a warrant. While searching the house, they found marijuana, a handgun, and some money.  This search marked the end of a narcotics investigation. Perkins was arrested without incident and charged with "two counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a 	firearm with narcotics and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon," according to the police report. His court date is May 11. His bond information is unavailable.
