Local Watercolor Workshop Still Has Open Spots

Register by Oct. 12 for this Prince William Art Society event.

On Oct. 22-23, award-winning artist Marni Lawson will conduct a Watercolor Weekend Workshop at Tall Oaks Community Center (the LRPRA facility) at 12298 Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge.

The program is open to painters of all skill levels. Lawson, who describes herself as "a medium for the medium," is not afraid to bend or break the "rules" of watercolor, said Fran Pennington, Grants and Workshop Coordinator for the Prince William Art Society.

The deadline to register for this workshop is Oct. 12. Members of the Prince William Art Society may take both days for $120 or one day for $60. Non-members may take both days for $160 or one day for $85. Canceling after Oct. 12 means a $30 fee for a two-day entry or a $15 fee for a one-day entry.
