Occoquan's Duck Splash Race is Coming Up

Mayor Earnie Porta shares a few details about the event.

The following is taken from one of Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta's email updates:

"This is a reminder that on Saturday, June 18, Occoquan will serve as host to its fifth .  At 12:30 p.m. on the 18th, rain or shine, three thousand numbered rubber ducks will  drop into the Occoquan River and race to the town docks.  First prize is $500, second through fifth is $100, and sixth through tenth is $20.  You may adopt a rubber duck for $5 at the following businesses in the Town of Occoquan:  , , the , Glory Be, , and .  You may also adopt a duck online by clicking here.  All the net proceeds from the event support the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to building and maintaining a county-wide system of multi-use trails and blueways.  Although you need not be present to win, we hope you will consider visiting Occoquan to enjoy this family-friendly annual tradition."
