Sinkhole in Occoquan Temporarily Patched by Prince William County Service Authority

A sinkhole outside Tastefully Yours on Mill Street in Occoquan caused a depression in the asphalt two feet wide by four feet long.

A portion of Mill Street was shut down June 2 as the Prince William County Service Authority temporarily patched a sinkhole outside Tastefully Yours.

Service Authority workers did not know what had caused the sinkhole, which left a two foot by four foot depression in the asphalt.

Mayor Earnie Porta said the sinkhole had appeared the morning of June 2.
