Teen Assaulted, Robbed in Lake Ridge
When a teen tried to sell his tennis shoes, he was reportedly assaulted and robbed of his shoes and an iPod.

On Sept. 23, a 14-year-old Woodbridge teen told police that he had been assaulted and robbed after he tried to sell his tennis shoes to a male acquaintance.
The victim met up with his male acquaintance and another male near Midsummer Lane off Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge. The two males took the victim to a path running between two houses on Midsummer Lane. There, the victim met up with two more unknown males. These males reportedly grabbed the teen and began to assault him, while the first two males fled the area.
The two unknown males then took the teen's backpack with the pair of shoes and an iPod worth about $400. The victim had some minor injuries.

Police identified one of the attackers as a juvenile. They are still investigating the incident. The arrested teen is a 17-year-old Woodbridge male. He has been charged with robbery. His court date is unavailable, and he is being held at a juvenile detention facility.
