Teen Charged With Burglary in Lake Ridge

The teen had no fixed address.

On March 7, at about 10 a.m., a Prince William County police officer arrested a 17-year-old male after he reportedly spotted the teen walking with another male, carrying a laptop and a full backpack.

The officer said he was on patrol in the 11900 block of Cotton Mill Drive when he saw the two males. When he attempted to talk with them, they ran away on foot. The officer pursued them on foot and caught up with one of the males on Harvard Drive. The other male was not found. 

During the subsequent investigation, police found that someone had broken into a nearby residence and stolen a laptop, camcorder, DVR, Kindle, gaming console, and games, worth about $2000 in total.

The property that was stolen in the burglary was reportedly recovered with the arrest of the teen.

The teen has been charged with burglary, destruction of property, and resisting arrest. He has no fixed address, and he is being held at a Juvenile Detention Facility. His court date is unavailable.
