Three Men Rescued from Trench off Mohican Road in Lake Ridge

Three construction workers had to be rescued from a trench off Mohican Road after they were overcome by an unknown smell at about noon today, said Kim Hylander, spokesperson for Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

"They were conscious," Hylander said. "They had to be put on stretchers."

OSHA was on scene as fire and rescue helped the men. The workers were taken to a local hospital. It is not known what substance would have caused the smell.
