Woodbridge Author Profiles Virginia Success Stories

In her new book, Woodbridge resident Deborah Johnson examines the careers of several success stories, including those of Virginia residents Gov. L. Douglas Wilder, Dr. Negleatha Johnson and retired Gen. Carl McNair. 

In “How Did They Do That? – Career Highlights, Triumphs, and Challenges," Johnson asks each of her subjects how they succeeded.

"Born with no silver-spoon advantage, they all relied upon hard work, faith and unwavering determination to achieve their career goals," a prepared statement read.

Johnson, a regional government affairs manager for a U.S. energy company, wrote the book as an inspirational text for those entering or re-entering the job market.
