Woodbridge Man Charged With Grand Larceny in Lake Ridge Area

The caller reported that an unknown man in black had been looking into car windows.

On July 3, Woodbridge resident Jarrel Mason Hill, 18, was charged with grand larceny, trespassing, and destruction of property in the Lake Ridge area, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

In the early hours of July 3, a caller told police that a suspicious person all in black had been looking into vehicles. When police responded to the 12700 block of Purdham Drive, they found someone who matched the caller's description.

"As police approached the accused, he took off running, but was apprehended a short distance later," the report said.

When Hill was arrested, police found GPS units in his possession. Police later found that the GPS units were stolen.

Hill has been "charged with three counts of trespassing into vehicles, one count of possession of burglarious tools, one count of grand larceny, and one count of destruction of property," according to the report.
