3rd DWI for Leesburg Man who Crashed into Tree with 12-year-old Passenger

Mark R. Firehammer, 46, of Leesburg, had a 12-year-old passenger in the car when he reportedly drove through a fence and crashed into a tree near Edwards Ferry Road.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reports a man who crashed a vehicle off of Edwards Ferry Road with a child passenger has been charged with his third DWI in ten years.

Mark R. Firehammer, 46, of Leesburg, was reportedly driving near Edwards Ferry Road/Cattail Branch in Leesburg when the vehicle left the roadway, ran through a fence and struck a tree. 

Firehammer and a 12-year-old passenger in the car were not injured, according to a sheriff's report. Firehammer was charged with his third DWI in ten years, refusal, and abuse/neglect child reckless disregard for life.
