On Thursday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office also announced that an 87-year-old man had died due to complications from injuries he suffered in a car crash on Route 28 in November. Police identified the man as Daniel Dearborn, Jr. of Ashburn.

On Nov. 6, Dearborn was driving northbound on Route 28 near Waxpool Road. As he was driving, he struck a guardrail. The sheriff's office was not sure what caused him to lose control of the vehicle. After striking the guardrail, the vehicle crossed all four lanes of traffic and crashed into a concrete barrier, police said.

The driver, who was later identified as Dearborn, was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. He died on Dec. 3, police said.
