Eventing Championships Bring Equestrian Showcase to Morven Park, Leesburg

More than 350 riders and their horses are expected to participate in the event, many in preparation for an international competition in France.

The opportunity to see some of the country’s best equestrian riders is only as far as Morven Park Oct. 4-6. For a second year, the U.S. Eventing Association Area II Championships will take place during Morven Park’s fall Horse Trials, which draws riders from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia to compete in six levels, from beginner novice to advanced.

More than 350 riders and their horses are expected to participate in the trials, during which they will compete in dressage, show jumping and cross-country events.

An advanced combined test is expected to draw top American riders who wish to prepare for an international event in Pau, France, at the end of October.
