• Rouge Spa to Close Downtown Storefront (loudounnow.com) — Downtown Leesburg is losing one of its longest-serving retailers, as Rouge Spa on King Street closes its storefront after 24 years but keeps serving customers online and at new locations. Owner Anita Henry plans pop-up experiences during Leesburg’s Flower and Garden Festival and hopes to open a small local studio for facials and massages, while loyal clients rush in for last-minute holiday gifts.
   

• Number of Homeschool Students Falling in Loudoun, Data Shows (loudounnow.com) — Families in Leesburg and across Loudoun may be surprised to learn homeschooling numbers are actually falling, even as public school enrollment declines. State data show Loudoun homeschoolers dropped to 2,279 in 2024-25, well below the pandemic peak, while homeschooling continues to grow statewide, leaving questions about where local students are going instead.
