Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, Aug. 5 on Route 9 in Loudoun County.The crash occurred at 5:09 p.m. less than a mile north of Route 671.The driver of a 1998 Subaru Legacy was traveling south on Route 9 when the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2006 Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound. The Subaru struck the Chevrolet head-on and overturned.The driver of the Subaru, Shani E. Hickman, 43, of Leesburg, died at the scene. The driver of the Impala was treated for minor injuries at Cornwall Hospital.The crash remains under investigation, according to Virginia State Police.<iframe src width="460" height="300" data-src="http://patch-field.s3.amazonaws.com/widget-maker/db06c1e5434733cba4e4964fd7053d4d.html"></iframe>
