International Soccer Friendly Between Ethiopia, Guyana Comes To Segra Field In Leesburg
Segra Field is set to host an international friendly between the men's national teams for Ethiopia and Guyana next month.
LEESBURG, VA — International soccer is coming to Segra Field in Leesburg. On Aug. 2, the stadium will host a friendly match between the men's national teams from Ethiopia and Guyana.
The match will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2 as part of the Ethiopian Football Federation USA Tour.
Segra Field officials said the match will be Ethiopia's first friendly in the United States. It will also be the first time that the men's national team from Guyana has played an African team.

Doug Raftery is the executive business officer for Segra Field.
"We are excited to host Ethiopia and Guyana to Segra Field; marking the venue’s first-ever international match," Raftery said in a news release. "The match will continue to establish our stadium as an international venue for all entertainment and sports."
