Three Leesburg Businesses Celebrate Openings Friday

Big Lots, Eagles Berth and Finch Sewing Studio have all planned ribbon-cutting events to kick off the weekend.

On Friday, three Leesburg businesses have planned ribbon-cutting ceremonies with Leesburg officials, marking a continued expansion of businesses in town. Big Lots, Eagles Berth and Finch Sewing Studio will keep town representatives busy all day.

Big Lots, 1041 Edwards Ferry Road NE in the Battlefield Plaza Shopping Center, kicks off the day’s event with a grand-opening celebration at 8:45 a.m. As part of the ceremony, Big Lots will make a $1,500 donation to Balls Bluff Elementary School.  The Leesburg store marks Big Lots’ entry into the Loudoun market.  For more information, visit www.biglots.com.

At 3 p.m., Eagles Berth, located downtown at 19A Wirt Street SW, has planned a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The store sells Native American jewelry and home décor items. For more information, visit www.eaglesberth.com.

Finally, at 4 p.m. Finch Sewing Studio, 102 Loudoun Street SW, will hold its ribbon-cutting event. Eagles Berth calls itself “a place for modern sewists.” The business offers modern sewing classes for all skill levels and sells supplies. For more information visit www.finchsewingstudio.com
