The annual event honoring those who've lost their lives serving our country's military takes place on the Loudoun County Courthouse grounds.

Join the Leesburg Town Council and the Memorial Day Host Committee for the annual Memorial Day Observance, starting at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, at the Loudoun County Courthouse in Leesburg.

Thoughts of the soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who’ve given their lives for the country weigh heavy on the minds of Americans each Memorial Day and observances such as Leesburg’s provide the opportunity to our appreciation.

During the town’s ceremony, wreaths are placed at each war memorial on the courthouse grounds, while town pays tribute with patriotic music and military presentations. All are welcome to participate.
