Loudoun Officials Investigate Inmate Death

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an inmate deputies discovered Monday in cardiac arrest.

A news release from deputies Monday night says the male inmate was found during a routine afternoon check of the center.

"Adult Detention Center personnel immediately administered CPR and the victim was transported to the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital where he was pronounced dead by the emergency room doctor," the release says. 

The incident is under investigation by the LCSO.
