The ribbon cutting, hosted by franchisee Vigario Management, will begin at 9 a.m. After the giant scissors have done their job, Vigario Management and the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation will present a $5,000 grant to the Loudoun Education Foundation's Backpack Coalition.
The Backpack Coalition supports food-insecure students and their families. "We provide weekend meal bags to food-insecure children in the LCPS system, enabling their ability to focus on school studies instead of hunger," the Loudoun Education Foundation wrote on their website.
Leesburg's new Dunkin' is a "next generation" store that will feature a variety of updates and amenities. The restaurant will have a dedicated area for mobile order pick-ups, so those who order online can skip the lines.
The location also places a focus on energy efficiency with the use of LED lightbulbs, low-flow faucets, and high-efficiency machinery. Dunkin' says their next generation design is 33 percent more efficient than previous models of their restaurants.
The 2,006 square-foot location will employ 20 crew members. After its grand opening, the restaurant will be open every day from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
