NWS Issues Flood Warning for Potomac River
River will rise above flood stage by late Tuesday afternoon, reach near 30 feet by Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Potomac River at the point of rocks from Tuesday afternoon onward.
As of 5 p.m. Monday, waters were at 2.9 feet and rising, NWS said. The flood stage for the river is 16 feet.
Water is expected to rise beyond that point by late Tuesday afternoon, reaching around 30 feet by early Wednesday night.

The NWS says "water reaches a home on the Loudoun County side of the river near point of rocks" and "also covers portions of the MARC parking lot at point of rocks ... and covers Old Commerce Street."
