Runner Killed By Drunk Driver In Lovettsville: LCSO

LOVETTSVILLE, VA—A woman apparently on a run was killed Friday morning after being hit by a drunk driver on Morrisonville Road near Mountain Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Her name was not immediately released. The driver, Zachary L. Frye, 19, of Purcellville, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

Around 7:30 a.m., a passerby came upon the scene and saw a vehicle off the roadway. The woman was found nearby and already had died. Police found that Frye was headed east on Morrisonville Road when he hit the woman, ran off the road and hit a tree. He suffered minor injuries.
