Town of Leesburg Road Work Set For Oct. 14-16

Work includes milling and paving along Dry Mill Road, Harrison Street and York Lane.

Road resurfacing work continues this week in Leesburg, with milling and paving planned along segments of Dry Mill Road SE, Harrison Street SE and York Lane SE.

The schedule is as follows:

Dry Mill Road SE, from Lee Avenue to Catoctin Circle

  • Milling: Monday, Oct. 14, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Paving: Tuesday, Oct. 14, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Harrison Street SE, from Catoctin Circle to Gateway Drive

  • Milling: Monday, Oct. 14, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Paving: Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

York Lane, from Rockbridge Drive to cul-de-sac

  • Milling: Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Paving: Wednesday, Oct. 16, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While work is underway, crews will close one lane of the subject street and direct traffic. Drivers should expect delays. On-street parking will be discontinued during the work.

Inclement weather could cause a change to the schedule because milling and paving must be done when it’s dry. Changes will be advertised on the town’s website (www.leesburgva.gov), message boards and/or fliers delivered to residents’ homes.
