Dae Hwang, 57, faces first degree murder charges after her husband died from multiple stab wounds.

A Leesburg woman charged in the stabbing death of her husband will remain held without bond in Loudoun County as her trial heads to grand jury May 20, a judge ruled Thursday.
Dae Hwang, 57, faces first degree murder charges in connection with the March 2 death of her husband, Kyung Hwang, 63, who police discovered following reports of a suspicious event at the couple's home in the 1600 block of Chickasaw Place NE.
Authorities found Hwang dead, apparently form multiple stab wounds, in an upstairs bedroom.

On Thursday, Leesburg police told a judge in Loudoun County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court that Dae Hwang told them her husband had been having an affair and fathered a child 10 years ago, the Washington Post reported.
Dae Hwang also said her husband had tried to kill her in July 2012, the Post reported. Kyung Hwang had been abusive, she told police, and the stabbing that lead to his death occurred after he allegedly assaulted her, the Post said, interrupting a detective who said her husband was found with an electrical cord wrapped around his neck to say he had first wrapped it around hers.
