Virginia ABC to Open New Premiere Store in Leesburg Wednesday
Virginia ABC is set to unveil the commonwealth's second 'premiere' ABC store in Leesburg July 9.
Virginia and Leesburg officials will celebrate the grand opening of Virginia’s newest premier ABC store in Leesburg Wednesday, July 9.
The ribbon cutting will take place at 10:30 a.m. at 506A Fort Evans Road NE in the Fort Evans Plaza II Shopping Center. Virginia ABC Chairman Jeffrey Painter, ABC Commissioner Judy Napier and Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd will offer brief remarks before an informal store tour with complimentary refreshments.
The store is the second ABC retail location in Virginia to feature a new branding initiative that incorporates retail space planning techniques, energy efficient lighting and a tasting area as well as modernized ceilings, cabinets, wall treatments and product displays. The first retail location opened in March in Williamsburg and another is slated to open at Virginia Beach this fall.

The ABC Store has contributed more than $8.2 billion to the commonwealth in the eight decades since its inception on March 7, 1934. Virginia ABC operates nearly 350 retail stores in locations across the commonwealth, according to a press release.
