• VMI Athletics to begin paying student-athletes under terms of House settlement (augustafreepress.com) — Virginia Military Institute in Lexington will start directly compensating its Division I student-athletes beginning with the 2026–27 sports year, funded by private donations rather than cadet tuition or fees.
