2 People Arrested In Lorton After Found Sleeping In Stolen Car: Police
Two people were arrested in a Lorton shopping center parking lot after they were found sleeping inside a car that had been reported stolen.

LORTON, VA — Two people were arrested in a Lorton shopping center parking lot after they were found sleeping inside a vehicle that had been reported stolen, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Calvin Alderman, 37, of Stafford County, was charged with grand larceny of a vehicle, and Asia Bea, 40, of King George County, was charged with possession of illegal drugs and providing a false ID to law enforcement to avoid arrest. Bea was also served with outstanding warrants, police said.
Last Wednesday, detectives from the FCPD’s auto crimes enforcement unit were patrolling Gunston Plaza in Lorton. A detective noticed a parked vehicle with a broken window covered by a plastic bag, according to police.

“Recognizing this is often associated with stolen vehicles, detectives approached the car and discovered an adult man and adult woman sleeping inside,” the FCPD said.
Police confirmed with the vehicle’s owner that the car had been stolen. Detectives arrested Alderman and Bea and seized suspected fentanyl pills, according to police.
