Information Sought Regarding Abandoned Dog Found In Lorton
Fairfax County Police are looking for information regarding an apparently abandoned and emaciated female pit bull found in Lorton.
LORTON, VA—Fairfax County Animal Protection Police are looking for information regarding an apparently abandoned and emaciated female pit bull found last month in the 9500 block of Gunston Cove Road, a non-residential area. It was spotted June 18 walking alone and appeared to be weak, malnourished and had several scars on its front legs.
The young dog was mild mannered with officers and seemed to be well-socialized, say police, who added its ears and tail are not cropped and appears to have been bred. Anyone with information about how the dog wound up in Lorton is urged to call Fairfax Animal Protection officer Forrest Higginbotham at 571-641-7245.
