Other notable birthdays include Scottish actress Deborah Kerr (1921-2007), American writer Truman Capote (1924-1984), American comedian and actress Fran Drescher (b. 1957), U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AK) (b. 1960), American actor Eric Stoltz (b. 1961), Italian actress Monica Belucci (b. 1964) and French Actress Marion Cotillard (b. 1975).

5. The weather today will be mostly sunny with a high of about 75 degrees. The low tonight will be about 48 degrees. There is a 20% chance of showers after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

6. Like sausages and beer? You're in luck, my friend. It's the 16th annual Oktoberfest celebration at Fort Belvoir from now until Sunday. Enjoy keg-tapping fun with dancing, music and German food from 6:00 p.m. until midnight, on Saturday from noon to midnight, and on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
