Lorton Bus Driver Assault Suspect Found In Loudoun County
Fairfax County Police received help arresting the wanted suspect who they say assaulted a bus driver.

LORTON, VA — The wanted suspect in the assault of a bus driver in Lorton was located and arrested in Loudoun County.
Fairfax County Police had responded to the bus driver assault in the area of Gunston Cove Road and Cranford Street in Lorton around 7:30 a.m. on July 8. Police say the bus driver was on a regular bus route when a rider boarded and attacked him. The bus driver was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Officers did not immediately find the suspect during a search of the area.
Through an investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 18-year-old Javantai Johnson, of Lorton. On Saturday, detectives located Johnson in the Stone Ridge community of Loudoun County. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office assisted with the arrest.

Johnson was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He was held without bond.
