Lorton Lanes: April 18 - 24

Here's how construction is impacting Lorton's roadways in the coming week.

- The far right lane of Lorton Road eastbound between Cardinal Forest Lane and Richmond Highway is closed.

  Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-95 north from Exit 160, Gordon Blvd. (Route 123) to Exit 161, Richmond Hwy. (Route 1) - Two lanes closed Sunday - Thursday nights for overhead sign installation.  The first lane will be taken at 9:30 p.m. the second will be taken by 10:30 p.m. or earlier. Exptect full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight. 
• I-95 reversible lanes (HOV) from Prince William Pkwy. (Route 3000) to Lorton Rd. (Route 642) - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for overhead sign installation. Traffic will be directed to the general purpose lanes. 

Weekday work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-95 north between the Exit 160, Gordon Blvd. (Route 123) and one mile south of Exit 166, Fairfax County Pkwy (Route 7100) - Right lane closed Monday - Thursday for paving and bridge work.
• I-95 south between Exit 166, Fairfax County Pkwy (Route 7100) and Exit 160, Gordon Blvd. (Route 123) - Right lane closed Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for sign installation, paving and bridge work.  
• I-95 reversible lanes (HOV) from Fairfax County Pkwy (Route 7100) to Gordon Blvd. (Route 123) - Single lane closed Monday - Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for road and lighting work.

• Richmond Hwy (Route 1) north and south at Gunston Rd. overpass near Fort Belvoir - Single left closed Monday - Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.  for bridge construction and utility work. Expect full closures of up to 20 minutes after midnight.

• I-95 south at Exit 166B, Fairfax County Pkwy. (Route 7100) - Ramp narrowed Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for road work.
• Fairfax County Pkwy (Route 7100) north and south from Backlick Rd. to Hooes Rd. – Single lane closed Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for road work and barrier placement.
• Rolling Rd. north and south from Fullerton Rd. to Barta Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for road work.
• Backlick Rd. north and south from Fullerton Rd. to Boudinot Dr. - Single lane closed Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for road work.
• Fullerton Rd. east and west, from Backlick Rd. to Boston Blvd. - Single lane and shoulder closed Monday - Thursday 9a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for utility work.
• Barta Rd. east and west at Rolling Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for road work.
• Hooes Rd. east and west at Barkers Ct. - Flagger operation Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for material delivery.
• Heller Loop north at Fullerton Rd. - Single lane closed Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to noon for road work.
