Lorton Library Vandalized

Cleaning crews arrived at the Lorton Library this morning at around 5 a.m. to find that the building had been vandalized during the overnight.

Police were immediately called and found a rock inside one of the offices and the glass broken on the doors of the main entrance.

Library personnel were not aware of the crime until they arrived at work as the security alarm did not go off. The glass was replaced earlier this afternoon.

Franconia Police District spokesperson Eddy Azcarate said an investigation into the crime is ongoing.
