Lorton's Jeff Schwab On "Wheel of Fortune" Tonight

How many vowels will he buy?

Lorton's Jeff Schwab appears on "Wheel of Fortune" at 7:00 p.m. tonight on ABC 7. Will he win a boatload of money, a vacation-for-two or a red convertible?

"You'll have to watch!" said Schwab, the Director of Marketing for Dominion Dental Services in Old Town, Alexandria.

About a year ago, Schwab was watching the show with his wife, Jessica. "I thought I could go out and do some damage, so I filled out an online application," he said.

In September, Schwab beat 60 DC-area residents in the preliminaries and was picked to fly down to Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA.

"We booked our flight and headed out," he said. "My original goal was to win enough to pay for the trip. We definitely did that."

The show was filmed on Nov. 11. "They film six episodes in a day and we were the first episode," Schwab said. "It's pretty intense. When they go into commercial you step off stage and producers come up and talk to you and your makeup is touched up. You drink some water and then get back on stage. It's a fast-paced, nerve wracking experience."

The Wheel In Retrospect

Schwab is "sort of" looking forward to watching his show.

"I had some very embarrassing moments, some epic failures and examples of what not to do when you're on Wheel of Fortune," he said. "I'm never going to hear the end of it from my friends. It's not quite the same as watching it on the couch with your wife and having a drink. I definitely should have had one before the show."
