Pedestrian Dies After Getting Hit By Multiple Vehicles In Lorton: FCPD
A pedestrian died early Friday morning after getting hit by multiple vehicles on Route 1 near I-95 in Lorton, according to police.
LORTON, VA — A pedestrian died early Friday morning after getting hit by a vehicle on Route 1 over the ramp from northbound Interstate 95 to northbound Richmond Highway in Lorton, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Keith Thomas, 24, was walking in the southbound travel lanes of Route 1. The driver of a 2005 GMC Sierra was traveling southbound on Route and struck Thomas in the roadway around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police said.
While the driver of the GMC called for help, Thomas was struck by other vehicles, police said. Rescue personnel responded and pronounced Thomas dead at the scene.

Fairfax County Police said they do not believe speed and alcohol were factors in the fatal crash. The investigation remains active, and details of the investigation will be presented to the Fairfax County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for review, police said.
